From Coping to Thriving in Intense Times

This past week, my family and I took a vacation from our normal lives on a road trip to visit family. Thirty of us gathered at my uncle’s homestead in western Virginia for Thanksgiving, the first time many of us had seen each other in years.

Hikes, cornhole, horseshoe, hot tubs, guitar singalongs, fireside tea and catching up with aunts, uncles and cousins, with the backdrop of rolling hills, horses, creeks and farmland made this a deeply nourishing trip.

Sometimes we need to just stop what we are doing and get away from it all. This can bring perspective and a newfound appreciation for the good in our lives.

And unplugging from social media is much needed for most of us. It can be tricky to do when that nagging little voice inside is fighting our deeper desire to just enjoy quiet and moments to reflect without engaging with the outer world….

It’s about renewing and resetting… unplugging and just being.

I was grateful to take this time for myself and to just be with loved ones.

After returning home, I had some time to reflect in the Akashic Records.

I asked the Masters in the Records about what I could share with you, as someone who reads these words for a reason, to support you in this time.

What came up was more of what you may already know, but that we often need to be reminded of: gratitude, Divine guidance and quieting the mind.

With gratitude, we focus on the good things that are around us. Gratitude shifts our mindset, and can change our thoughts from negative ones to more positive ones.

As the old saying goes, what we focus on grows. If we are immersed in the negative, we can subconsciously attract more negative things into our lives. But if we notice the positive, then more of those good things flow our way.

This is what it means to have a high vibration. And we are being continuously reminded to focus on our personal vibrations.

As we shift into higher states of consciousness as the Earth shifts into the frequency of love, we will be asked to do this more and more.

We will find that we have the ability to create our reality in magical ways.

In fact, this is what great teachers like Jesus were trying to teach us: “the Kingdom of God is within you.” To me, this means that we have the light of the Source within each one of us; we are creators.

To cope in the increasingly chaotic external 3D world around us that can bring us confusion, sorrow and frustration, we can surrender to Divine light (to the light of God/Creator/ Source). And when we allow that light to guide us more and more in our everyday lives, we will find that the content of our thoughts change to thoughts of gratitude, even in hard times, and that we will flow through life’s lessons that much more easily. We can then share that light with others who are suffering around us.

A recent client (who also was a student in the Intuitive Guide Certificate program) had a variety of interests that she wanted to share with others. But, for years, fear had stopped her. With some work together on clearing Ego doubts, and deepening her connection with higher guidance, she recently offered a workshop for the public on a few of her passions. She was nervous at first, but afterward she felt a sense of flow and confidence, and even joy, after stepping out of her comfort zone and taking this very big step. She is already planning more workshops like this, which is so very cool!

Tapping into our higher powers will guide us in powerful ways. To be open to the support there for us, we must create stillness (such as in meditation): prayer is asking and meditation is listening. When we quiet our minds, we find a place of acceptance for our human selves, noticing our emotions and just being in stillness.

In the meantime, may we remember that we are doing the best we can as humans, flowing through life with all its interesting lessons and experiences.

In the spirit of stillness and curiosity,

Rachel

P.S. It is my deep honor to teach many of these concepts of Divine laws and connection to those who also want to teach others how to live in this flow in their lives. I am excited to embark upon a new adventure with 10 brave souls this coming January 2024 in the Intuitive Guide Certificate program. You can learn more about what this experience was like from Elizabeth Lowder, a past student, who shares her experience in the video below.

Elizabeth Lowder: Healing Herself and Others from Trauma

Doing inner work to learn about ourselves, heal old stuff and clear fear can powerfully allow us to support others in doing the same.

This past student, Elizabeth Lowder, moved through 10 months of learning and growth with me and a small group of others in the Soulful Work Method Intuitive Guide Certificate program. Beginning January 25, 2024. Remove inner blocks to sharing your gifts in the Intuitive Guide Certificate Program (the Soulful Work Method) She has made some powerful changes in her life, for her own healing, and is already starting to see clients in her new business, Wild Grace Wellness (contact Elizabeth at glowder5@gmail.com for details).

Here's what she shares about her experience in the program:

Moving past hesitation: “When I started this class, there was no hesitation. I read about it, and I’m like, oh this is perfect. It goes into spirituality, and the Akashic Records. The only hesitation was the Ego work. I thought, I’ve done all that. I’ve been doing this for years. But when we were going through it in class, I really gained a lot of traction by doing that work. It really turned the dial for me. The whole thing has just been very beneficial for me. You’ve been very encouraging.

The online group experience and changing old beliefs: “With it being online, you wonder, how accessible or responsive are you going to be? You’ve been very, very accessible and responsive. We had a very cohesive group. What really helped my confidence level was when we were put into small groups. One person and I decided we’re just going to commit to doing these trades - coaching sessions with one another once a week. You can become aware of your subconscious beliefs, and that’s one thing. To really change them, you have to take action. If there’s some fear around doing this work, the more you do it, the more your subconscious beliefs change, by taking that action. That was huge for me. It really started to help move past that fear. I noticed that with my partner as well.”

Doing healing work for ourselves and others: “I’m really drawn to this [work]. The more I learn, the more I want to share. It’s working with that life force energy, when you do something that excites you that’s nourishing… it’s really exciting. I really enjoy doing this… I was physically really sick when I started on this healing journey. I had long, undiagnosed, auto-immune, systemic things going on. That’s what got me going down this path of physical healing. I’ve been going to healers and doing the shamanic work. But I was like, I want to do this for myself, I don’t want to have to keep going to healers. I really wanted to empower myself. Which is what I’ve done - gaining all these tools to help myself. And that’s how I want to empower others. Part of my work is going to be healing work – holding healing, sacred space for people who’ve had past trauma and grief, things that I’m familiar with and grappled with, as well as the spiritual development and personal empowerment… It’s what worked for me, that’s really what’s motivating this.”

- Elizabeth Lowder, North Carolina

Due to a few requests, the Early Bird rate for this program is now extended to December 15th!

Four Lessons I've Learned in the Past Few Years

Things continue to be quite intense here on Earth. This past week felt like a whole lot of full moon energy, without the full moon!

We are seeing the patterns more and more, and recognizing the truth beneath the illusions, in our individual lives and collectively.

This week is Thanksgiving in the United States. While most of us have conflicting feelings about celebrating a holiday that may have been based on a half-truth, I personally will still be celebrating the opportunity to express gratitude and to be with family.

Even though I am aware of the illusion, I choose to focus on the deeper opportunity for growth that the energy of the season brings. I love the holidays, and try to use this time to give and to be kind even more than usual. (Speaking of sharing gifts, this Shining Your Light Meditation is a recent musing and  meditation I did to help us heal all our inner parts with light so that we can be a light for others...)

As with so many things, we can transmute that which may have been based in a lie, or in darkness, into light.

Like many of you, I have spent the past few years looking at my own triggers/deep-seated beliefs and trying to learn from them. When the shadows of my own Ego arise in the form of unpleasant situations, I do my best to look deeper into what's beneath - to learn from the situation (which is why we are each here incarnated on Earth).

Here are a few lessons I have learned this year so far:

  • Let it go. It's not worth holding a grudge against someone who has wronged you. Yes, they may have done something not nice to you. And maybe you will learn from that experience and protect yourself in the future. But I've come to believe that it's not always in my best interest (or theirs) to speak up about it. It's true that sometimes speaking up/standing up for ourselves is the lesson, but at other times, it may be best just to let it go. The heart knows what is right.

    • Real-life example: I recently worked with a client who had uncovered some anger at her sister for an event in her childhood, one that she had not been consciously aware of until we did an inner child regression. By expressing her feelings of disbelief about her sister not helping her in a traumatic experience (which we "re-created" as a new scene), she was able to release the emotion and move toward forgiveness in waking life of her sister.

  • Gratitude is king. Since our brains are wired toward negative thinking, it can take extra effort to focus on the positive. When we make note of the simple things that we are thankful for (the sun, legs to walk on, our pets, etc.), we open our hearts and raise our energetic vibrations to align with the frequency of gratitude and all that goes with it (joyful opportunities and experiences that will come to us via the Law of Resonance).

    • Real-life example: A client who had experienced a series of frustrating external events and I talked about the importance of gratitude. She has been keeping a gratitude journal, and makes it a practice of giving thanks for little things every day. This is helping her feel better, and also bringing more and more goodness into her life.

  • There's a lesson in everything. When something happens that we don't understand or that makes us uncomfortable, there's always a reason. We may not know what the lesson is in the moment, but we can ask our Divine guidance to help us so we can move through any painful learning more easily.

    • Real-life example:  I see a heartbreakingly high number clients who have experienced abuse in their childhood from family members. One client in particular has been focused on healing this trauma for a number of years. Yet, it wasn't until an Akashic Records reading that she received the information that she, as her Higher Self pre-incarnation, chose the experiences she had with her family. In fact, they had abused her in many other lifetimes (playing different roles). But in those past lives, she blamed herself for their actions and sunk into states of shame and depression. To finally break the pattern, she knew similar circumstances needed to be present in this lifetime. But this time around, she is making different choices about how she perceives herself. With guidance from her spirit guides and angels, she is learning to love and accept herself, rather than fall back into the story of her "deserving" what happened to her.

  • We should be kinder to ourselves. Earth is a tough school. Just being human here is hard. We are breaking patterns that our ancestors passed onto us (of abuse, depression, shame, people-pleasing, etc.) and we are breaking our own past-life patterns as well. This can feel like paddling a canoe upstream. So be gentle with yourself! You're doing the best you can. Yes, you may have made mistakes, but you have learned from them. That's all we can do is keep learning from the past and making new choices based on our new discoveries.

    • Real-life example: A past client was repeatedly told as a child that she wan't capable of doing much in her life by both her mother and grandmother. She heard these words as truth at a deep level. Eventually, she developed a hard, outer shell to protect herself from further harm, at a subconscious, Wounded Inner Child level. She also carried around a lot of negative self-talk, beating herself up a lot. We worked on re-framing some of these thoughts in an Ego exercise (there are Ego exercises like these in my newly-revised Develop Your Intuition online course), and did some hypnotherapy, along with spending time in the Akashic Records. This helped her learn to speak more kindly to herself, which in turn has led to more peace and flow in her life.

The more we notice the lessons that are there for us, the more we can flow through them. In the years of inner work I have done for myself, through meditation, re-programming my subconscious and in the Akashic Records, I have accepted that the wheel of dharma continues to turn as we move through the cycles of life. Just as the seasons change, it's to be expected that we will move through easier times and then through harder times, and through times that feel a little bit in-between.

But with tools like meditation, accessing higher guidance and Ego awareness, we can understand and flow through the tough situations with grace.

We would never speak to a child the way we speak to ourselves! Yet we each have a delicate Inner Child within that could use our tenderness.

One of the biggest learnings that we humans have to do is to unconditionally love and accept ourselves, with all our flaws.

I am learning this right along with you. It takes practice but gets easier with time.

In the spirit of self-acceptance,

Rachel

P.S. Some of you may not know that I do deep, long-term work with folks who are struggling with how to manage their varying life circumstances. I invite you to check out these new intensive healing offerings (a 2-month Soul Growth or  5-month Future Self Activation focus) focused on clearing what's held in the subconscious mind for lasting change.

A Magical Series of Events

Dear brave soul,

This past weekend I was at the National Association for Transpersonal Hypnotherapists (NATH) conference in Virginia Beach. I love these conferences since they are like a personal retreat for myself (right on the ocean).

But this one was particularly magical for a number of reasons.

I started off the conference by teaching a workshop on the Akashic Records, one of my favorite topics. I used to be terrified of public speaking, as I was shy as a child. But years of having to do it has made it much easier.

There’s always a bit of nerves in the beginning, but as I was telling someone after, since it’s a topic I’m quite comfortable with, I have confidence in what I’m saying, which helps.

Then, I jogged up the beach to the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment. Known as one of the most gifted psychics ever to live, Edgar Cayce has long been a source of inspiration for me.

When I arrived, I went inside and went straight up to the picture of Edgar Cayce, and then to the library, which was filled with only metaphysical books, but old books that felt filled with ancient, sacred wisdom. It was like being in a physical version of the Akashic Records.

Then I went to the meditation room, adorned with huge crystals. As soon as I sat down, I was immediately greeted by a lilting, animated male voice. I knew it was Edgar Cayce, although I couldn’t remember what his voice sounded like. He was talking about expanding consciousness, but I admit that’s all I can remember.

Then I went downstairs and passed by a bulletin board where people can leave their business cards. I figured I would put a few up. But then I saw that my business cards were already there!

I was so confused for a moment. I have never been to the A.R.E. but then I was thinking maybe I had.

I’m sure there’s a practical explanation for this (like some kind person who had my business card put it there for me), but in that moment it felt as if I had always been present with those who read the Akashic Records, and with Edgar Cayce. I took it as a beautiful sign that I belonged there.

I went and walked the labyrinth, and noticed the dolphins there. I had just seen what appeared to be dolphins swimming way out in the waves that morning… another beautiful synchronicity.

As I walked the labyrinth, I heard another message coming in. The more I walked, the clearer it got.

The message was about connecting with God… to be of service to the light of God (in those exact words).

I ate lunch and then walked back along the beach. I found a voice recording of Edgar Cayce when I got back to my room, and it was the same voice I had heard (in my mind) in the meditation room.

It’s hard to describe how it felt to be so connected to a man who I have long revered, who will always be a guide for me.

The last thing that happened was that I received an award at the dinner on my last night there.

I was totally shocked to be given this.

During the award dinner, I was listening as Linda (the NATH President) was talking about someone who sounded vaguely like me.

As she continued talking with more detail, I realized it WAS me she was talking about.

In my former jobs, I was not always the best employee. I actually got written up once for going to the dentist without permission (this was when I worked for the State of Maine for one long year).

While I was a good student in school and did well in sports, I also have always been a bit of a rebel, breaking the rules.

I have often felt like I’m just skating through, doing this spiritual work but by the seat of my pants, like an underground operation.

So receiving recognition in this way from an external source that I respect really means a lot.

While I have learned to receive praise from my spirit team, it’s not always as easy for me to truly “receive” praise from other humans.

This coming from my teachers and colleagues feels very special.

Getting acknowledged can really boost one’s confidence, like a nice pat on the back. And sometimes this just feels really good.

I am still processing this weekend to integrate this all into my daily life, but for now I just feel deeply humbled and blessed. It was such a magical experience, a gift from my Divine spirit team boosting me to carry on with my work, (like teaching a group of brave souls in the upcoming Soulful Work Method/Intuitive Guide Certificate Program to similarly share their light with others)!

I continue onward, but with a lightness in my step from these unexpected blessings.

And so it goes.

Wishing you blessings of the same,

Rachel

P.S. Hope to see some of you at the upcoming Life Between Life Workshop in a few weeks! This is going to be a very powerful experience.

P.P.S. It has been a fascinating journey for me in sharing what I have to offer to be of service to others. Hope you'll join me this evening, Wednesday November 14th for a meditation on Sharing Your Gifts here on Zoom from 7:30-8 pm EST around uncovering and then shining your soul light to help those in need around you.

Establishing a Spiritual Business with the Intuitive Guide Program

How Becoming an Intuitive Guide Led to a Nourishing Business

I had such a wonderful conversation the other night with a few lovely women who studied in the Intuitive Guide Certificate Program. with me. It was heart-warming for me to hear concerns they had before taking the class, and how they overcame fears about that.

A past student, Missy Ayotte of Wings of Change Healing had some really interesting insights into her experience with taking the Intuitive Guide program as an online class, building confidence and how much she enjoyed learning to do guided imagery/meditations and read the Akashic Records. She now offers shamanic healing and spiritual coaching in tandem with Akashic Records and Reiki offerings, in a thriving full-time business!

Here's what Missy shared.

Her overall experience in the program: “This class really brought everything together for me . . . my personal growth just soared through the training. That was my favorite part – doing the homework and bringing my spiritual connection to another level. It was profound.”

Her concerns before taking the class: “I think the online part concerned me a little bit… I am really an in-person type of learner. But I loved the format and it really introduced me to doing online classes and being receptive to it. I had taken other classes with you so I was worried about repetitiveness…. But, it wasn’t. It just enhanced what I had learned already.”

Her favorite parts: “The guided imagery was my favorite part of it. I didn’t feel confident in guiding people in meditations. I was doing it, but I didn’t know I was doing it . . . it just built my confidence around doing that work. The Akashic Records piece was pretty profound for me… how easily I was able to connect after learning the steps. That I loved too… was being able to do Akashic Records readings.”

How the program helped her develop confidence to start a business: “It cleared my fears to be able to do the work we’re trained to help people to do. I felt like you challenged me to reach a little deeper each time . . . The homework allowed me to set goals that I needed to do to establish my business.”

It was wonderful to have Missy as a student and to watch her sharing her powerful gifts now is truly amazing.

Maybe you are curious about how this might work for you too.... if so, I invite you to explore this program.
