How to Thrive During Stressful Times

Develop a spiritual connection. Open your heart to receive light and healing from sources of higher guidance. Sometimes we need to “open the door” to this. Just ask and see what floats in. Maybe it’s a loving feeling, a heart-opening or a sense of peace. Ask your heart (the gateway to intuition) if it has a message for you. Sometimes it helps to ask a question like How can I cope right now? Or What can I do to feel better? This Divine connection is crucial to get us through this time.

A wise student in the Akashic Records class I'm currently teaching wisely pointed out that there is no “figuring out” what is happening right now on Earth. Some may try, but inevitably fail, since this is beyond our human level of comprehension.

This also speaks deeply to the essence of what I and many others, teach, and to what I try to practice in my own life. It speaks to the core of the soul work that many of us are being called to do. And that simply is to learn to separate from Ego, and to align with our Higher Self. I have talked about this a lot over the past few years, and now, more than ever, this understanding is crucial for many to cope with (survive) this time (and even survive) mentally and emotionally, and even physically.

Why Things Feel So Heavy Sometimes - And What to Do About It

But there is always a learning and a lesson in everything.

Sometimes the lesson is just to pause, and to notice what we are feeling. And sometimes that is all we can do. We feel crappy, and we don’t like that. And our society has trained us to numb the emotions that don’t feel good, to push them away by avoiding them with TV, social media, alcohol, food, you name it.

This only works for so long. Eventually the emotions will spill out, and often in weird ways. Like a volcano that wants to erupt, if we do not give our emotions a healthy outlet, they will spew out the sides anyway, often in less-than-ideal moments and ways.
